Constant - Le Violon or Fables?

Which would be the better bet for a romantic, memorable dinner? We love both classic and fish equally.

We ate at Fables a few weeks ago and it was delightful. The tables are very close together and it is caual, in a good way. Le Violin is more upscale and also wonderful, more formal, also in a good way. For romantic and memorable, I'd go to Le Violin; but they are both lovely

Only one oher thing to add - both have a couple of sittings a night. Better to go for the later table as you won't feel at all rushed.

Thanks so much for the tips! I think this time we'll go to the Violon and save Fables for our next trip. Should I book for around 9pm then?

Ok, thanks! I just booked. I did it in French too but I guess my accent was so bad they ended the conversation in English. Ha! Well, good to know they speak English in case of emergency.

Catherine Comstant is Scottish so no need to worry. Fables is now owned by one of the sous chefs and it is wonderful. i will be eating there next week. The 7th is home to lots of expats so English is spoken all around that neighborhood.
