In laws going to Dana point, Need great French

Please can some one advise a place to send my in laws for a great french dinner in Dana Point. They will be there for two days and I would like some recomendations. They don't like to spend too much.

you could send them to L'Hirondelle in San Juan Capistrano. Across from the Mission, it is a charming little place with fairly good food. Here is the dinner menu:

Are you making a little joke? A great French meal around Dana Point and they don't like to spend too much? Those two requests don't fit together.

L'Hirondelle is a nice suggestion.

Also right in the harbor is Gemmell's-- another family run French place.

Neither spot will deliver a "great French meal" but either can do a swell job of creditable French at a fair price.

L'H's rabbit is top notch -- if they like that sort of entree. I think Gemmell's excels with fish, myself.
