Can anyone here provide a review on the food that's served at the La Michoacana Markets? The food there looks good and the atmosphere seems authentic, but I have not had a meal there myself. How do the tacos here stack up to other local favorites like El Taquito, etc?

The recently posted map led me to this early post in MPH's series: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/93317

A search here netted me other recent mentions of their chow, including the following.

Their tacos are really good, and pretty authentic (or so I am told). Being able to speak Spanish is a definite plus, but pointing and smiling has always served me well. Be sure to ask about their Michoacan-style tamales, too. They're made of white masa instead of the usual yellow and they're wrapped in banana leaf instead of corn husks. And they're huge. Sadly, I think they're available only around Christmas, but don't take my word for it.
