I'm headed tonight for the first time. Are there any "can't miss" dishes?

i was absolutely blown away by the gnocchi that i had a few weeks ago. the hamachi appetizer was pretty doggone good as well. lasagna always gets high marks from friends of mine.

I agree with the smoked hamachi appetizer. Everything else on the dinner menu is good, but I don't think there are any dishes I'd consider "can't miss". The lamb is always well prepared.

      However, do:

      1. Consult the sommelier when you pick your wines. The restaurant has nice ones on the menu and the sommelier is pretty knowledgeable.

      2. Save lots of room for dessert. They have some very good ones (including donuts with chocolate dipping sauce).

The lasagna. It's ridiculously good. Be warned, though, that it's not your standard tomato-heavy lasagna with toothsome meat. This lasagna is brown, with almost no acid component, and the meat is like gravy it's so smooth and slow-cooked. I also loved a salad I had with the most beautiful little roasted beets, toasted hazelnuts, fennel, and ricotta salata.

I've always had their seasonal tasting menu and have been more than satisfied with all of them. Their website currently shows a Pasta tasting for $67. If it were me, I'd go for that.
