DD has a recital at the Jackson Memorial High School next month. There will be about 10 of us and I'm looking for a varified menu so if someone wants a sandwich and someone else wants ribs they can get it. Please don't tell me to go to Applebees. Thanks.

Next door in Millstone there is a restaurant called Albivi (named after the kids). Nice attractive room that can easily take your party of 10.
Solid Italian food, lunch can either be sandwiches, panini's. pizza, salads entrees etc.

About a 10-15 minute ride from Jackson HS.

The website gives you the menu, directions etc. Albivi is no Applebees.

The Plumsted Grill near the intersections of Routes 539 and 537 has very good basic American/Continental food. Dinners and sandwiches are available. I’d guess it’s about 20 minutes or 15 miles from Jackson HS. I think it would appeal to adults and kids. See http://www.plumstedgrill.com/index.html.

My first thought always in Jackson is Surf Taco, but you want sandwiches and/or ribs....sorry I just thought I would throw that idea at you. :) Have fun!

Our family has had pizza from Vesuvio's in Millstone for years - always a great slice!

Ate lunch at Albivi in Millstone Township NJ (Perrineville) today.

          Pizza is very good.

Bread with Garlic Oil dipping sauce also very good.

Calamari Salad with goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette was AMAZING!

Glad I stopped in on my way to Jackson. A hidden treasure!

We get pizza from Albivi often, we really enjoy the variety from the plain to the specialty pizza's. Its also close to our house.
We also always get a salad. As you mentioned the Calamari salad is amazing. The other salad we enjoy is the Asian Pear salad which consists of baby greens, sliced Asian pears, sesame seeds, cilantro, gargonzola, candied pecans finished with orange sesame ginger dressing. Like the calamari salad it is excellent.
Our favorite pizza there lately is a Seafood pizza. Consists of shrimp, scallops and calamari with either a white or red sauce. Its not on the menu but the owner has been making it for us fo over a year. Its off the charts good.

For the Seafood Pizza - Which do you recommend red or white? Thank you.

You liked Vesuvio's? I tried it once and thought it was bad, maybe I will give it another shot. Albivi uses old sauces that REEK of SALT.....yuck-o!

I have not been back...even my neighbors told me the same about Albivi...everything salted like crazy, no freshness, and certainly no originality.

It sounds crazy but we like both about the same. We now just ask for the seafood pizza, half the time it comes out red the the other times it comes out white. Every time its delicious.
I never noticed the sauce ever being oversalted.
