Macarons on Long Island?

Is there anywhere one can purchase macarons on Long Island? I've been reading about them everywhere and I don't want to order them, I'd rather buy them somewhere fresh. I'm in Babylon, but would drive to get them.

If you're speaking of the French type I used to buy them at Silver Moon Bakery at B'way & 105th in Manhattan-perfection. I've also made them from a fantastic recipe from a cookbook called The American Boulangerie. I think they're worth seeking out.

I've had the macaroons at Bruce's in Great Neck and they are pretty tasty.....I am assuming you meant coconut macaroons and not the French ones? If not, sorry :)

The only place I know for sure is on Shelter Island, but that may be a little extreme! That's their specialty though. Although they may ship.
