KC - where should I go to lunch....?
A friend and I are going to out to lunch tomorrow w/our preschoolers (2 total)...we're not afraid to take them places beyond McD's if it's "acceptable" (aka, they have a kids menu and/or accomdate children). Thinking Brookside to downtown-areas or anywhere in between.

Would everyone recommend breakfast or lunch at You Say Tomato for a first experience? Wondered if they did one better than the other?

re: Katie Nell
We went for the first time last Sunday after church for not quite either. Our order consisted of cheese grits, a ham and cheese croissant, a cinammon roll, and a slice of rhubarb pie with homemade ice cream.
The food was all terrific, and the place is simply charming. We may be returning tomorrow.
I can't answer your question for sure, but I would be surprised if you could miss either way.

We took our kids to Aixois (Crestwood shops) for lunch last week for their mom's birthday. Food was decent, not great, but I love their kids menu, which features escargots, a terrific cheese and fruit plate, roast chicken, grilled salmon, and more.
It might be worth a shot. Way better than McDonald's.
