Global Gatherings Update

I went last night for the first time in 6 weeks, we've been regular every month or so regulars for a while. I was shocked to hear that Chef Dan had departed a few weeks ago. Real shame, he had some real talent. If anyone knows where he went, I'm sure that information would be appreciated.

The new chef seems to be pretty good, although he seems to still be finding his own imprint for the place. Most of the menu was still the same, with a few new apps (salmon cake and confeit). Neither really blew me away. Now keep in mind, the food is still better than 99% of the restaurants in westchester, but possibly just not as good as it used to be. I will go back in a month to see what it's like once he's settled in.

Yes the service was slow but I thought the food was very good. I bought 2 ottomans from them and the quality was excellent. I'm sad to see them go.

Sammy, I was told they are closed.

berrydawnmarie, I am sorry to see them leave too.

That is such a shame. If anyone knows where Dan ended up, please let the group know.

Looks like he took the restaurant with him. It has closed.

What a shame, it was one of the bright lights in this wasteland of a county.

gordoma, perhaps he went to MD with Chef Denzil from Zen Tango, which should have closed, but hired a washed up actor instead to make one of THE most disturbing commercials ever filmed.

Thank you, Chef Dan, for some inspired meals.

Did this place really close? The food was not bad, actually. Slow service, but the home made potato chips made up for it.

Maybe they both ran away with Paul from the original Hunan Village (sigh.....)
