west coast style frozen yogurt

I'm from LA and cant find the frozen yogurt (ie. chemical low calorie soft servy dessert) other than junk like pinkberry and tasti-d-lite.

Is there any substitute in NYC?

There's also this ambrosial substance here known as Carvel. One exists in Kips Bay on 3rd Ave and the upper 20's. It's not particularly low calorie, but it's worth experiencing once.

It doesn't get any better then the Frogurt @ Bloomingdale's Forty Carrots!!

Ben & Jerry's lower fat soft serve is the best in my view. It isn't yoghurt, though.
