I'll be in the Grove/Farmer's Market area tomorrow, and I'm craving truffle oil cause it's great on pizza, pasta, etc.
Should I get it at:
O & Co.;Monsieur Marcel; orWhole Foods?
Or any other suggestions?
I have no suggestions either way, but I notice that Monsieur Marcel has a higher markup, even in relation to Whole Foods.
I found that O & Co. has a much better and richer truffle oil then WF...and the basil OO is worth checking out while your there
Thanks to you both!
You can get fairly cheap (relatively speaking, anyway) truffle oil at some Trader Joes -- but I've noticed not all of them have it. However, I've never been able to find it at Whole Foods.
Check out Sur La Table.
The brand you want is Urbani; superior flavor and ingredients
vino: I went and picked up O & Co's white truffle oil today.
Where can you find URBANI??
somewhat old thread, so call to confirm before heading out:
Yup, Bay Cities is where I bought Urbani...
Should You Put Oil in Pasta Water?
Mexican in WeHo?
Good meal at Shiro last night but what's with the truffle oil
