Does this place still exist and what is the history of it.
A long explaination is what I am after but any will help.
I want history but am most curious about the menu.
My husband has wanted to go for as long as I have know him (16 years) but have never gone and moved out of NYC a while back.

Are you interested because of Edna Lewis? There is something mentioned about the restaurant at this link. The restaurant has been closed for some years.
