Cheap decent eats around the Eaton Centre

Baelsette Apr 22, 2008 11:21 AM

Hiya,
Going to do a quick shop at the Eaton Centre and for the life of me I can't think of any cheap decent eats around the eaton centre. Any suggestions would be welcome and thanks in advance!

Eaton Center is a bit of waste land. Japango is probably the best place in the area. Sentors is supposed to be good but I've never been.

Salad King is just a block North on Gould, just east of Yonge. I love Japango, but it's not cheap.

house of doner and kebab a little north between gerrard and dundas.... doner totally blows away anything else similar i've had. sauces are amazing and meat nice and juicy.

Spices Cafe for quick and cheap Indian food that's also well-made, healthy, and remarkably cheap. Their website seems to be down, but this is helpful. Speaking of helpful, the owner is ex-TREME-ly nice.

Just had a soup and salad at Holy Trinity. The Gazpacho was really nice and refreshing - citrusy and sweet in the right ways. The salad was nothing to write home about though.

If you go to the fourth floor of Sears there is an excellent cafeteria style resto. I've only had the salad/sandwich combo (parma ham and broccoli salad is my fav.), which for under $8 is a great deal.

my go to around the eatons centre is the chicken pot pie from the lunch counter in The Bay. probably the best chicken pie i have ever had.
