Authentic Dining in Buenos Aires

clashfan Apr 22, 2008 08:26 AM

I will be in Buenos Aires starting this Friday for a while with my girlfriend and I wanted to get suggestions for great authentic local restaurants. I will be staying in Palermo and would love non-touristy places that locals would go to get great steak, empanadas, Italian etc.

currently in BA and fly back tonight : (

We were walking around Palermo Viejo/Soho on Sunday and came upon Lo de Jesus (Gurruchaga 1406) and had a great meal. If you are here Sunday, I would come to that restaurant as a lot of the shops, similar to Soho NY are in this area and open after 4pm until 8pm, especially on Honduras. Look for any of the real divey parilla's with locals eating. Another one that draws a very blue collar crowd with the old man cooking the meats inside is Bar del Gallego (Bonpland 1703). Enjoy!
