SEA - restaurant for group of 30?

I am looking for a special place to celebrate a 40th birthday for a friend. The location it was going to be held at didn't work out so now we are searching last minute (Birthday is May 10th) for a new place. Does anyone have a suggestion for a restaurant that has a room that can accommodate about 30 people? Thanks!

It's a chain, but Maggiano's in Bellevue has 5 private rooms. Sounds like your group would fit in the DiCarlo Room which has a max capacity of 48.

Elysian Fields has a good sized private room with a decent atmosphere and food.

How about Vios Cafe, they rent out the whole place for events and it holds about 60 people. I went to a wedding reception there, great place and great food.

Volterra in Ballard has a private event space, as does Palace (but that may be too big for 30). I think O'Asian does large/private parties. Or, for something casual, Tap House Grill.

Another thougth is the Big Picture (cinema below El Gaucho on First Ave). They do private events in that space which is more of a reception event space than a sit down dinner.

Boat Street has a side room, called Boat St Kitchen, they use for events. Yum!

You could try Uptown Hideaway. You'd also have to find a caterer, but the space is lovely.

I do not know the capacity of the venue, but Hale's Ales has a room upstairs and pretty good grub, for a pub.

I know a lot of people on this board don't like it but The Wild Ginger has a number of rooms upstairs that can be expanded to hold more people for parties. They have a fairly large menu that should satisfy most people.
