Dog-friendly in Galveston

I've heard you can sit outside with your dog at the Spot and at Mosquito Cafe. Has anyone actually seen people doing this, and do you know of any other dog-friendly restaurants on the island?

Just thought I'd report back on our nice weekend and how much we enjoyed Mosquito Cafe. I think Amie the blue heeler enjoyed it too, and we felt that she was quite welcome there. My husband had a delicious and beautifully plated salmon club sandwich that reminded me of salmon sandwiches we ate in Scotland. He had ordered a side Caesar salad, and it came in the middle of a large plate with the sandwich quarters arranged around it--a very appealing presentation. I had a delicious cheeseburger and was pleased at the opportunity to order fresh fruit as a side. We both loved the sangria and the way it was presented, with some of the finely chopped fruit sprinkled over the ice in our wine glasses. We had a fine and relaxing evening of good food and people watching, in the company of our best friend. :-)
This restaurant understands good food, attractive presentation, and friendliness and kindness toward its patrons. We'll be back.

I've seen people with their dogs on the patio at Mosquito Cafe but it's been awhile. I'm sure you could call to make sure. I've not seen pets at The Spot.

I have seen a couple dogs at the Spot, awhile back. They hooked the leashes to the table, went inside and ordered. I remember because it startled me to walk by and hear this dog barking at me!
