Movie Popcorn

Hello--

Does anyone know if there's a movie theater that serves the old-fashioned movie popcorn(popped in coconut oil, topped with real butter, etc.)

I saw an ominous sign at the Grove theater, a dispenser labeled "Popcorn Topping", thus ridding the establishment of living up to the stringent "Butter Flavoring".

i feel like every theater has the same pop corn, their butter leaves a film in your mouth, anyone else feel the same?

Just to add generally to this topic, but who has particularly good movie popcorn? The two theaters near me are an Arclight and a Laemmle, and neither has good popcorn. The Arclight's popcorn, in particular, is really bad. Do any theaters have standout popcorn?

Yeah, their popcorn is bad... why I wonder. I like most other things about the Arclight.

The Los Feliz 3 and The Vista (also in Los Feliz) both have real buttered popcorn.

The New Beverly uses real butter, although I don't know about their popping method. It's cheap, too... two movies, popcorn and a Coke for less than ten dollars.

Try the Rialto in South Pasadena, or the Nuart in West LA.

I think the Rialto is closed except for private rentals?

I think the Aero in Santa Monica uses real butter. Not sure if they are still around though, lots on the news lately about it closing?
