Conversation Starting Chocolate Gift?

Ricepudding Apr 21, 2008 06:07 PM

Any recommendations for a "wow" type chocolate gift for a bridal shower? I don't want to do mini cupcakes, that seems kinda ordinary. I'm already aware of the high end chocolate shops like Boule, Teuscher, Vosges. I want something different. Something along the lines of LA Burdick's chocolate mice (http://www.burdickchocolate.com/item-...) would be great. Ideas?

A shop in Los Angeles would be helpful since I need it for this weekend. Thanks!

Chocolatt... from Belgium on Wilshire http://www.chocolatt.com/
They have some really tasty, elegant, refined products.

Edelweiss in BH is also good.

The best chocolates in town are made by a high school student on the westside. That's right. I kid you not. He's interned at Boule, Susina, the Little Next Door, and the Peninsula Hotel.

I doubt he can shape them into mice, especially on such short notice but you might want to see what he can do for you.
