Nope, but they used to send their students over to my college dining hall to be guest chefs occasionally. You knew it was a CIA day if you walked in the dining hall to see Duck Confit with Raspberry Coulis or some such thing on the menu. ;-) I've never taken a CIA class, but if they can make industrial dining hall ingredients taste that good, it's probably worth it.
I took the roasting and grilling class about a year ago and it was great fun! Your ingredients are already on a tray which the students bring you. 1/2 classroom then cooking and then .. . dining on what your group prepares!
I would love to do the five day boot camp; the only thing that sto[s me is the expense. BTW, it's in Hyde Park, not NYC. Martha Rose Shulman wrote an entertaining book on the boot camp experience.
