where can I get maryland blue crabs in NYC?

I have been dying for old bay steamed maryland blue crabs. Where can I get this in Manhattan?

Sadly, you can't. If you have any appreciation for steamed crabs, you will find every rendering in the five boroughs unsatisfactory.

Yeah, I agree. There's a place on Park Ave South called City Crab that has them. But they're not too good from what I remember. I think you'll have better luck making them yourself. DH and I took a weekend trip to Baltimore just to eat some crabs and do some hiking.

Go to Chinatown, buy the crabs....head home, boil water, get out your saved to recycle newpapers...feast away!

Steam them in water, vinegar and old bay. Very easy. Lay some newspaper out and go to town

i have not been (as it's easier for me to go to Baltimore), but there is a crab-shack in Sheepshead Bay (Brooklyn). i forget the name, but i do believe that they do steam them with Old Bay.
