Decided after all of these yers to give the place a try. Was wonderfully pleased. Not living here anymore is downside so going to a place where I culd gaze on the Ferry building was just plain fun. Although I can see where the location could make it touristy the crowd seemed to be made up of lot of locals from what I could hear. Fabulous dinner. I had 1/2 doz oysters with a Gibson, straiht up and three onions. Wife and I split the crab salad with celery sorbet and then split the pork loin wrapped in bacon with sides of buttery mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. Two glasses of wine (wife does not drink) and one dessert. I believe the entire bill with tax and tip came to $160. A real plus I would recommend is to ask if Mike can be your waiter. A great guy. He enhanced the experience.

I like One Market for the most part ... probably the most of any of the restaurants in that group. It is a reliable place to take clients for a business lunch too.

The celery sorbet sounds like a good idea. .

When we lived there this place was kind of up and down. But, our last couple of visits before we moved it was very much on the up side. It's a great venue, lovely views, a good wait staff for the most part and a good wine list. Looking forward to our next visit to SF as One Market will certainly be on the list of places to revisit.
