Thinking of Brigtsens,Herbsaint(or maybe Clancys) and Coops---any better ideas

At my last visit we went to Rampart street for some pretty good jazz--2 or 3 places but cannot remember names--any suggestions for Rampart(or elsewhere)

  1. Clancy's is Emeril Lagasse's favorite NO restaurant. Coops is a dive compared to Clancy's. Food is good there and it's inexpensive but it doesn't compare to Brigtsens or Clancys.

      1. Of the 3, I'd definitely make Herbsaint a priority, followed by Brigtsen's. Been to Clancy's several times and never been wowed. Coops is a dive with ok food. Take a walk down Frenchman for some music.

        1. How about a neighborhood restaurant like Mandina's, Liuzza's by the Track, Liuzza's on Bienville, Minnie's Catfish Corner, or a poboy from Parkway or Crabby Jack's?

Herbsaint is one of my faves, Clancy's is fine, too. Have you considered the Bon Ton Cafe?
