Rapid defrost of puff pastry?
Is there any way to defrost it quickly without ruining the texture?
I have one of those defrosting plates that you used to find on TV infomercials. It actually does work. In fact, my sister used one last night to rapidly defrost some pizza dough. It's a handy thing to have around the house; it was around $10, and I think you can probably find one at any kitchen store or BBB. I have used it for defrosting puff pastry a number of times, with no change in texture at all.
