Rita Mae's Diner in Manchester, you really let me down!
I went today for the "Fresh Fish on Friday" It is the only day of the week you can get fish, and I was dying for some good fried scallops and clams... well, I was in for a huge letdown, or should I say small one? I ordered the scallops and whole clams for $16.99, what I got was 5 HALF pieces of scallops, and 9 whole clams on a huge bed of onion rings. Add to that the server gave me blue cheese dressing instead of tarter sauce... Clams and blue cheese, NOT a pleasant taste I assure you. What a shame, last time I went it was fabulous, this time I felt like I was shortchanged. $17 for 2.5 scallops chopped in half and 9 tiny clams? NO way I would order this again. Shame really... last time I went i loved it.
On the plus side, the Ornion rings are great, just not worth $17 a plateful.

Well, I would imagine that even the best diners have a bad day. I do agree that 2.5 scallops & 9 clams are not worth $17.00, however, you really should have said something to the owner/cook/waitress, as I know they would have rectified the situation. The owner is on-hand, working in the diner nearly everyday, and would appreciate your input. Try giving Rita Mae's another chance, they do have the BEST burgers in New England! Happy Holidays!

Grrr. Probably every state in NE has a 'Manchester' and I'm starting to get frustrated with people not mentioning which they are talking about. So, where is this?
