The Tea Leaf is a cute, relaxed, homey little shop. The tea is good, the scones are very good and, if MA hasn't clamped down on it, the clotted cream is delicious. Tea Leaf has the relaxed atmosphere of a neighborhood coffee shop: at any time there may be two neighbors, a few teachers regrouping after classes and someone with a baby carriage. Metered parking on this end of Moody St. has never been problematical.

Thanks for your replies. I will have to go try it out sometime. I love clotted cream, so it's good to know it's authentic. Do the scones have raisins by any chance?

We actually live w/i walking distance to Moody street, so parking is not of any concern.

Yes, it's fun, but nothing like the fine tea services downtown. It's a very homey shop. Tea and food is good, but not memorable. However, considering that it is much cheaper than anything downtown (can't remember the price, but I believe it was under $15), it's a nice change of pace. It also doesn't have the same vibe as other tea services, so you can be a little (ok, a lot) more relaxed.
