Recipe for Passover Chocolate Cake made from sweet potatoes?

Chew on That Apr 18, 2008 09:21 AM

I recently tried a Passover chocolate cake made from sweet potatoes! The concept did not sound good but let me tell you, this cake was delllicious! It was as moist as a cheesecake and had the rich smooth chocolatey taste. You would never have known it was sweet potatoes if I didn't tell you. I'm hoping to track down the recipe. Has anyone heard of anything like this?

I'm pretty sure it's a Marcy Goldman recipe and may be on the Clabber Girl website. Wait, my bad. It's on Epi

Definitely heard of the concept, but don't have a recipe. No time now erev shabbos/yom tov, but I suggest Googling "chocolate sweet potato cake," and see what you come up with. I did once make cookies using sweet potatoes, called Catalan Cookies, but no cakes.
