RAW Stinky Tofu (retail)

Does anyone know where to get uncooked stinky tofu in the GTA in retail quantities? Thanks.

Wei's Taiwanese Foods has stinky tofu. The restaurant is located in the corner of the plaza. When you approach it, you will notice the stench in the air. Deep-fried ones are much better than the ones in soup.

I think if you order in advance, the owner can probably make you a bucket.

    2. To be honest even the restaurant stinky tofu in the GTA isn't that great. I really doubt that there is a wholesale market for it. If you don't mind me asking...why do you need quantities of stinky tofu?

Exactly. It is hard to find good stinky tofu in HK nowaday, let alone Toronto. From my memory, I have not yet taste a stinky tofu that is 'stinky' in Toronto. It is impossible to have good stinky tofu in Toronto, because it is too stinky that even two street down the road can smell it. The restaurant will be banned right away for sure.

This is unrelated to any raw stinky tofu for retail...

I also have yet to find HK-style stinky tofu that's any good in TO... but if you're familiar with how Taiwan prepares it.. they make a pretty good stinky tofu @ Deli Viet around Yonge and Sheppard... I'm not sure why it's called Deli Viet because the entire selection of Vietnamese food on the menu is basically on a corner of the menu.. I would say it specializes more in Taiwanese food..

I also had the egg tofu with mushrooms there and thought it amazinggg...this was only last weekend when I went..
