Frozen Yogurt?

  • 6

Any good places for frozen yogurt in the City? I'm looking for the Pinkberry type like you see in LA? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

  1. There's a new place called Berry Chill on State and Ontario that reminds me of Pinkberry. The original/plain flavor has the same tangy yogurt-y taste as Pinkberry's original. The fruit toppings are fresh and work really well with the original flavor. I think their granola or cereal toppings would taste good too. They don't have the Green Tea flavor, but as far as I recall, they offer latte, chocolate, and strawberry-banana flavors.

    1. They're opening up a Red Mango in Evanston supposedly this spring, and it looks to be a pinkberry-type place (http://www.redmangousa.com/).

      1. There are several options in Chicago (Yoberri, Berry Chill, and Starfruit) and a few more in the burbs...

        1. The frozen yogurt at the cafe at Bloomingdale's is really good. They generally have plain, and then one or two flavors. Toppings are pretty basic, but include fresh fruit.

          1. Bobtail in Lakeview has a fantastic cappachino

            1. The closest to Pinkberry would be Berry Chill (I think) - http://beta.gracenotesnyc.com/2008/05... - their toppings are pretty interesting (Girl scout cookies, starfruit, and the typical berries) and they have a frequent buyer's program that is convenient (and I think they deliver). Yoberri's fro-yo wasn't that great (too icy and not enough flavor) and Bloomingdales' fro-yo is really great (Frogurt) but it doesn't really taste like Pinkberry. Good luck in your fro-yo adventure!
