Dinner for Guys

My husband is arranging a bachelor party for a group of guys (maybe 5-8 guys)--in their late 30s and early 40s. He'd like to go a steak place or other maschuline restaurant. Peter Lugers unfortunately is out because a good portion of the group went recently. Any recommendations? We're flexible on the area in Manhatttan and the price. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Even though you mentioned that you are flexible in budget, a $30 pp vs $150 pp budget provides a substantially different set of options and experiences. It will be helpful if you at least provide a price range which include alcohol, tax and tips. It will also be helpful to know if they are going to be VERY heavy drinkers as alcohols can add up to the bill very quickly.

Keeping it a $100pp would be ideal. They aren't huge drinkers. I think they may go to a bar after dinner so I don't think they'd drink they will drink that much during dinner. Thank you for any help you can give!

Churrascaria Plataforma is a lot of fun and VERY meat-centric without being a traditional steakhouse. Men like meat on spears! I believe the prix-fixe for all you can eat meat and salad bar is $60, with drinks and desserts being extra. 49th St. and 8th Ave. It's a great place for a group and I could see it being a really good place for a bachelor party.

If they're going to go the Plataforma (a place I do like) there's certain things they should keep in mind. I posted about it earlier this year -

Go to Robert's Steakhouse - food is solid AND its located inside the penthouse club. Doesnt get more masculine then getting a lap dance at the table prior to your main course arriving ;)

id be pleased if my friends took me to strip house on 12th street followed by some midget topless dancers in a hotel room at the W in union square.

Kobe Club has a really good selection of meat with some great sides and a very manly feel to the place. I had an awesome dinner party there one night. Plus I'm pretty sure there are several strip clubs in the area.
