Yum, I wonder if we can go there just for the kaffir lime tart??? I will deffinetly report back after my 10 day visit to NYC. Thanks to chowhound my culinary itinerary is slowly but surely coming together.

I don't know, but it would be worth asking them. My recollection of the place was great cocktails and not so interesting food, so that might be the way to go. They have tables outside too, so maybe you could just go for dessert. Also, if you like key lime, there's a great chocolate store on the same street - Kee's - that makes a key lime chocolate that is lovely - only downside is that she doesn't make all the flavors every day - but the others are wonderful too. Thanks for Kee's web link - the chocolates look decadently devine, the white chocolate truffles coated with pistachio immediately caught the attention of my taste buds. I can see myself indulging in a nice assortment.

The pistachio is one of my favorites - has some sort of pistachio cream inside as well.

If you're willing to go to Brooklyn (and hey you'll be here for 10 days so why not), I highly recommend you get Steve's key lime pie, which is one of the recommendations on MMRuth's link. It's excellent.

Steve's is certainly the best I've had. Sometimes he's at the 9th Avenue Food festival.

Zabar's sometimes has them, really? Wow - they carry S&S Cheesecake and now Steve's Key Lime. I think I just gained 10 pounds thinking about it. :)

No I haven't checked the outer boroughs board as yet - I certainlly will though. To tell you the truth, at the moment Im a little overwhelmed with all the choices.
