LARSEN'S STEAKHOUSE- Encino

  • 4

Have you tried it yet? Wondering what you thought...

It's located in the old Daily Grill space at Gloria and Ventura in Encino.

  1. No, I haven't been, but I looked at the menu online. For all those fans of Houston's prime rib French dip sandwich--Larson's has one on their lunch menu.

I find it amazing that Carter hasn't tried this one! He's usually right there on a new restaurant. French Dip like Houston's? I might have to check it out when life calms down!

I knew about its arrival, yet that space in that center really has no interest in even experimentation. Formerly Daily Grill (oh, well), then Bennigans, La Salsa, Moulan Rouge, and you get the picture - a kiss of death location.
Also not that big a steak eater, so.....I just get my steak fix at Max and look for other food for most other dining experiences.
        and the corner is Woodley.

We had the sliders at the bar recently. It's a pretty place, and unusually modern and sophisticated for the valley. The staff is very nice. There was a big crowd there and they have these backlit menus, which should be mandatory in all dark restaurants. The sliders were great, with very high quality beef. I take that as an indication that the steaks are probably good, too. But it would be interesting to hear from anyone who's tried them.
