Late night dinner near UNLV

Some friends are coming into town this weekend and their daughter is performing at a high school music competition or performance of some kind at UNLV. We would like to have dinner with them aferwards, but we're not sure exactly when things will finish up. We're thinking we'll be eating somewhere between 9 and 10pm. So my husband has assigned me to think of a "not-too-fancy" restaurant near the University that serves late. We would prefer NOT to have to make a reservation as the times involved are a little uncertain.
I am leaning towards Origin India, which is certainly convenient to UNLV and open late. But I am concerned about the no-reservations part. Does anyone know if reservations are needed for dining at nine pm there on a Saturday night? Any other suggestions from the hounds?
Are you going to have a car?
Because I have a few suggestions for places that are kinda close by that you might want to check out if you get a chance. They are definitely not your ritzy kind of Vegas restaurant. Just a couple of little interesting places I like to go to as a local. So don't expect too much!
Marie Callender's is great place to go for breakfast. It is fairly close to UNLV. Maybe 2-3 miles away. Just down Maryland Parkway then left on Sahara. It's a cute little pie place.
Hours: M-Sun 8-10
Breakfast Hours: M-F 8am-11am, Sat & Sun 10am-1pm
Also there is an authentic German restaurant just a bit from UNLV called Cafe Hiedelburg. My parents have gone and loved it but they are not super picky.
10am - 10pm
and if all else fails for you there is always Chipotle. They have those everywhere but i still love it!
Sorry I am not better help. Im a local who sadly hasn't experienced all the great hidden places in Vegas. So Good Luck!
