Dinner near LAX?

My husband and I are meeting his uncle for dinner tomorrow night and will be picking him up from his hotel (not sure which, just that it's near the airport) and then going to eat. We're both vegetarian and don't know that area well. Is there any place to get a decent meal?

  1. 2 ideas:
imho, the best option is 26 beach restaurant.
they will happily substitute tofu for meat in any of their terrific signature salads.
they have a wonderful burger menu and will substitute veggie burgers in all of them.
    the place is pretty.
    the prices are reasonable.
the 'omnivore' food they serve is very good.
    the portions are large.
26 Beach Restaurant 3100 Washington Blvd. (just west of Lincoln), Venice • 310-823-7526.

another option would be Ayara Thai Cuisine which will serve any of the dishes from the FROM THE WOK portion of their menu using tofu.
    their food is good
    the restaurant is pretty
    prices are good
the one drawback, imho, is that the chairs and tables are small and this can result in some people feeling cramped

    1. Papillon in El Segundo serves vegetarian Filipino and gets good reviews here. I like Simply Wholesome for Jamaican.

Annapurna Garden in Lawndale is mostly vegetarian - South Indian.

      2. You can also head south on Sepulveda towards Manahattan Beach maybe 10-12 mins and they have all the standard "safe" choices for family restuarnts i.e., Marmalade, Il Fornaio, McCormick & Schmidts etc.
