Every weekday morning on the corner of Broadway and Liberty Street in the Financial District, an orange and pink truck sells coffee and Doughnut Plant donuts. (except for Mondays, the day Doughnut Plant is closed)

This truck is there until 11am or so and then it is replaced by a Mister Softee.

Unfortunately the coffee is not organic, so I just stick to the donuts. After reading the recent NYT article "Did Your Shopping List Kill A Songbird?" non-organic coffee does not taste good.

"The imported fruits and vegetables found in our shopping carts in winter and early spring are grown with types and amounts of pesticides that would often be illegal in the United States. . .What should you put on your bird-friendly grocery list? Organic coffee, for one thing. Most mass-produced coffee is grown in open fields heavily treated with fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides."

Thanks for posting about this. Although not organic, his coffee is very good. I was surprised with a pecan banana donut from there yesterday and it was ssooooo good. He is looking to add croissants as well but wants to find the best option. I suggested Pattisere Claude.

This truck (looks like the Mud Truck) also appears near my office on Wall Street (fairly close to Water Street) with Doughnut Plant donuts. When I notice what times I'll report back.
