Any kid-friendly good eats near Grand Central?

I'm taking my son into the city tomorrow, and a friend who works between Grand Central and the NY Public Library is taking us to lunch. I'd like to stay in that general area, and need a place that's not a horrible tourist trap but will still have fairly kid-friendly items on their menu. Think burgers, steaks, chicken, (I have a meatatarian for a son, I swear).

Added twist...I'm gluten-intolerant, so no Italian places...please. It breaks my heart to walk into a restaurant full of foods I can't eat.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

What about Kellari Taverna? Grab some grilled meats, cheeses, Greek salad, etc. Great atmosphere! (44th btw 5th & 6th)
