pizza party for 100

  • 6

hi everyone,
i'm a chicago native now living in LA. i'm trying to plan a post-elopement party for our friends and family back in chicago. nothing fancy - we would be totally happy with pizza, beef sandwiches, italian sausage and beer. as long as it's a place we can either rent out the whole restaurant or with a large party room. any suggestions? doesn't matter what area since our people are spread out across the city and 'burbs.

thanks!

  1. The 2 that come to my mind would be Home Run Inn (we did a party for 60 for my dad's 70th birthday a few years ago) or Aurelio's in Homewood.

Another real good possibility would be Vito & Nick's at Lemont Lanes. Yep, the legendary SW side V&N have a place inside the LL Bowling Alley. Size of the dining area is probably pretty close to what you are looking for.

A couple of adds...the HRI party we did was at the Darien location.

As far as Vito & Nick's, they are semi-legendary for their ultra-thin cracker-crust pizza...that and Zaffiro's in Milwaukee are the 2 best I've had. They also have a full bar/lounge, so I imagine that you might do very well checking it out. http://www.vitoandnick.com/

Finally, another option would be to check out various Portillo's. Some of them have separate dining areas that can be reserved for large groups.

BTW, I'm in SoCal as well...OC to be precise. Pretty funny to have to SoCalers talking Chicago food here!

Aurelio's in Homewood will do an excellent job. Home Run Inn is also capable and very good.

    2. Connie's by Sox park

Pizza coupons AND a time machine. This was from April of 2008.
