Anyone dine yet at the Queens branch of this Rockville Centre restaurant? Heard they finally take reservations.

Is this place where the old Weeping Beech used to be? (near the Douglaston Train Station)

Dined at George Martin's in Douglaston last night. Food was good, service awful, extremely noisy, very pricey. Our table was cleared while my husband was still eating, he had to reprimand the busboy and our waiter. Our waiter disappeared after we put in our dinner order and we had to ask the hostess to order us another round of drinks. My husband asked for free dessert because of the spotty service and we received it but we will not return. For the same money I can go to any steakhouse on Long Island. I will stick to my two standing favorites: West End Cafe and Trattoria L'Incontro for better food, prices and service.

Good to know, I think that GM has spread himself to thin. I never see him around to supervise any more.

Yes, I did, it's more like his Nick DiAngelo places than the original George Martins.
As you know all of Grorge's places are top notch and this one is no exception, good food, good service and mod prices. Give it a try.
