help identifying a restaurant !?!

Hi there,

I need help identifying a restaurant. I heard a publicity on the radio a while back advertising a new french resto that is located in an hotel near the bell center. They mentionned a 4 service starting at 35.00 and free parking.

If you can identify it , is it any good?

thank you

Prior to going to the game last Saturday & after a few pints at Hurley's we walked back down de la Montagne passing by La Coupole. At 6:00 it was packed (as was just about everything around the Bell). Just to keep in mind ... if the Habs (GO HABS GO!!) are playing at the Bell, reservations are a must.

depending on the restaurant, many places are empty after 7pm on game night, since many people go there to eat before going to the Bell Center

i don't know for La Coupole, but it is certainly the case for Il Campari centro and brasserie brunoise on most game nights (during regular season at least)

Wow!!! thanks for the response. I didnt have time to respond yesterday for I had to leave for montreal right after work. The restaurant was indeed La coupole and they do have a 35$ table d'hote with free parking for all Molson center events, I dont know if it is a limited promotion. I had the ÉTAGÉ DE LÉGUMES DE SAISON GRILLÉS
PESTO DE BASILIC ET CHÈVRE which was very good but a bit small to my liking. The bavette with sauce madagascar was excellent and very tender and the chocolat cake was also very good.

I am far from a food critic but all in all it was a great meal for the price. I have a feeling this promotion wont last. If you decide to go and dont have a tickets for a molson center event the price is 40.00$

It's Decca 77 on René-Lévesque, accross from the Queue de Cheval. It is 35$ for 4 services. Decent price, very food, extraorodinary wine selection. Check out the menu at: www.decca77.com

Maybe but Decca 77 is neither very new nor located in a hotel. And their $35 table d'hôte is three courses, not four.

Oh yea, you're right. I just went there and I was quite impressed. Sorry for the mistake.

Good to hear that Decca's still up to snuff. Must go back soon.

I think it might be "La Coupole" in the Hotel Crystal de la Montagne

That is most probably the resto in the Hotel Crystal, which is on the corner of Mountain and Rene-Levesque. Googling... La Coupole. No prices listed, but they have a pre-game menu: http://www.restaurantlacoupole.ca/ima...

Prices are listed for some of the menus. And the four-course pre-game menu is indeed $35.

I can't get the website to work on either Safari or Firefox. Can't get past the front page.

The place was reviewed in Voir, last month. http://www.voir.ca/publishing/article...

According to the article, they have a 22$ post 10pm menu as well. Looks tempting.

I found the menus on the Hotel Crystal website: http://www.hotellecrystal.com/en/rest...

No mention of what's on the after 10pm menu, though.

Strange. Windoze Firefox works fine. You'll need to enable Flash, popups and PDFs. And turn on your speakers for your daily dose of elevator muzak!

                    home page: www.restaurantlacoupole.ca
menu page: www.restaurantlacoupole.ca/lacoupole_... (click "Menu" and move the scrollbar to the bottom for the pre-game menu price and list)

Nah, still doesn't work. The Flash stuff loads, but there's nothing to click anywhere on the page. Oh, well.
