Late Night Eats During the Week Baltimore

Looking for decent food often between 10pm & midnight on weekdays. We have encountered restaurants/bars already closing the kitchen at 9-9:30, & have left a place partly feeling uncomfortable or rushed (if the kitchen is quickly closing), & not wanting to intrude on the waitstaff/kitchenstaff by being the last table. Any suggestions?

    1. Kitchen at Jack's Bistro is open late.

      1. Blue Moon on Aliceanna Street in Fell's Point is open 11PM-3AM, Thurs-Sat Nights.

        The following are open 24/7

Sip & Bite on Boston Street in Canton is the preferred late night destination of several Baltimore Orioles.

Towson Diner on York Road in Towson

Bel Loc Diner on Lock Raven Blvd, Towson

        Valentino's on Harford Road, Bmore

        Zeus' Cafe in Fell's Point

Captain James, the BIG Boat on the corner of Aliceanna & Boston, Canton

Crazy John's East on E Baltimore St, The Block

Now, I'm not saying all these places are good. But they will be open.

        1. I think better than decent food, but still a good value:

The Dog Pub in Fed Hill serves individual size pizzas until 12 (I think)

The Brewers Art in Mt Vernon serves their lite fare until 11 (dinner until 9 except weekend)

The Owl Bar in Mt Vernon Monday THRU Thursday Kitchen Open 11:30am to 11pm Brick Oven Pizza & Raw Bar 'till 2am. Friday and Saturday 11:30am to 2am
Kitchen Open 11:30am to 12am and Brick Oven Pizza & Raw Bar 'till 2am

And of course there are the Korean BBQ places in Station North/Charles Village that are open until the wee hours of the morning (can't remember the name)

          I hope this helps

Jong Kak (barbecue) and Nam Kang (standard Korean) are both open late and are solid.

            1. re: ko1

Ko1-, how late are they open? Also, where located?

              1. re: kelarry

Nam Kang is at 2126 Maryland Ave., Jong Kak is around the corner at 18 W. 20th St. I believe both are open until 4 am.

              2. re: ko1

Also, Noc Won right next door to Joung Kak. I've found that I prefer Noc Won to Joung Kak for everything except BBQ.

            2. I'm not a huge tapas teatro fan, but they're open until 2am every night (except Monday when they're closed).

I was there with a group on a Saturday night after a movie and the kitchen closed at 12 midnight. Great food and atmosphere though. :-)

What time does the kitchen close at Cinghiale?

                      1. re: kelarry

I believe the kitchen closes at 10PM weekdays and 11 PM weekends.

                    1. XS Cafe on Charles St serves until midnight during the week.

                      XS : Coffee - Sushi - Cocktails
                      1307 N Charles St, Baltimore, MD 21201

                      1. What timing. I was just catching up on the blog by The Baltimore Sun's food Critique Elizabeth Large and I found her Top 10 list of places to eat late at night:

Hmm, I didn't realize Zorba's serves till midnight. They're definitely worth throwing into the mix.

                          1. re: ko1

I second Zorba's. Their pork was enough to feed me THREE times.
We ordered tzatziki as an app but it didn't come with pita, as I expected (I'm used to the awesome warm buttered pita at Samos). Only came with icky white italian bread so I ended up dipping my pork in it. Problem solved!
Also enjoyed the sides - greek green beans and these divine roasted potatoes that were crusted with parm cheese.

                            1. re: rudmansjmu

Since you live in Fells Point, you must try Geckos on Fleet Street. The kitchen is open every day until 1 a.m. with a full menu. I have ordered really late and was never made to feel as if it was a burden.

Some of my favorites there are the southwestern caesar salad and the crab and corn quesadilla. Also, they have really good wings (served with a mango chipotle dip) and crab dip. And the specials are always great and they have something for everyone (like burgers and vegetarian dishes).

I am attaching the link to a write-up from the City Paper:

                            2. re: ko1

I went there tonight for carryout so I asked for the hours. They close at 11 or 12 during the week depending on how busy they are. The kitchen closes at 1 on the weekends.

                          2. We recently hit Mamma's on a Half Shell. They serve oysters til midnight.
