  1. Munro Honey, Alvinston (west of London) is a producer. There may be others if you do a search. You can contact Davis Bryans to see if he has any in stock, and they will ship, minimum 3 bottles.

I think they might serve it at JK Gardiner.

    2. Cafe Taste on Queen West near Brock

      1. For home use(?), try LCBO Vintages. Usually a couple of Brit brands available.

I looked at www.Vintages.com before I posted, couldn't find one. But mead is a recent sideline for S.W. Ontario apiarists, like Munro's.

Possibly de-listed along with dozens of off-beat items over the last 2 years. Got mine in early 2007.

How is it? Mead went out of fashion for being too rough, yeasty. But now we are getting good quality fruit wines, perry, cider, and sake, so has the new breed of mead, esp. Ontario mead, kept pace?

        2. Try Bar Volo on Yonge 1 block north of Wellesley...if anyone has it in bottle or on tap you'll find it here.

          1. Trafalgar Brewing Company makes several different Meads and are available at the Beer Store. Not my thing, so I'm not sure what they are like. www.alesandmeads.com.

(I pasted this without the final dot.) Good to know. Who would think the Beer Store has mead when LCBO does not. Almost like we are getting choice in Ontario!

A word of warning: Trafalgar's meads are sickly sweet concoctions that are closer in style to coolers than the real thing.
