PB Cupcakes In Orange County

I'm looking for chocolate PB cupcakes in Orange County (Fullerton or Irvine) for a birthday. I'm trying really hard to avoid Sprinkles in Corona Del Mar at $3 a pop but it seems to be the only place that might have that flavor combination.

French's has already told me they do not make PB cupcakes. If anyone has recommendations in the Fullerton/Yorba Linda area or Irvine near John Wayne, I would really appreciate it!

I don't know if this is too late, but Susie Cakes just opened in Newport Beach and I think their PB cupcakes are very good!

Love those PB cupcakes. I think they are always available.

I have a strange love for peanut butter so I've tried just about every peanut butter dessert in the OC area. That Doclissimo bakery had the best tasting one so far. They actually have peanut butter frosting on two of their cupcakes but I've only tried the Monkey Love one so far. It was a banana cake with peanut butter frosting and it was so yummy! The frosting was very fluffy and light.

This is not in Orange County, but worth checking out when you're in the area:

It's in Long Beach, their chocolate cupcake with pb buttercream was yummy and their carrot cake cupcake was fantastic. I've tasted the Dolcissimo place someone referenced, their cupcakes are kind of dense and a bit dry (red velvet was good though). So far Frosted Cupcakery beats Dolcissimo and Sprinkles any day.

This place has been gettin good reviews. I am not sure of the price though. It is in Costa Mesa.

The price at Dolcissimo is the same as Sprinkles,ie $3 a pop.Although Dolcissimo looks promising, they have not yet surpassed Sprinkles in moistness and flavor.Try 5 Sweets bakery in Costa Mesa off 17th.The owner is very nice and might be able to make your desired flavor .Her cupcakes were a mere $2.25 per item.

Thanks for the recommendations so far. I've come to terms with the $3/pop price tag, alas.

I still would prefer to avoid Sprinkles because they only permit you to order the flavors of the day of pickup, even if you are ordering in advance.

              Thanks so much!
