Anyone have any opinion on this place? Might be going to dinner there with friends.
I really like the Fancescas chain. Moderately priced, familiar, and you'll be in for a decent meal. Might not blow your mind in any way, but more than likely, you're not going to get anything that's BAD. Plus, they're really into the whole "if it isn' t on the menu, just ask" thing. I usually go off menu, and get a simple pasta with clams, spinach, hot peppers in a olive oil/white wine/lemon garlic sauce, and split either a fish special, or a meat special with whoever I'm eating with. You probably won't be disappointed for the price at all.
The portions they serve you are pretty big; I think you can probably do it family style if all you guys are going to want to taste each other foods. I walked out of there wishing I had elastic pants on.
