Whole Cloves for Pesach

Nedd some for a recipe. Can't find anywhere KP.

Are you sure they need to be K for P? I thought that, in general, a bottle of whole spice (not ground or otherwise processed) did not need a hecksher. I would certainly think that a new bottle of whole cloves, containing a regular hecksher, would be acceptable for Pesach.

according to the Chicago CRC cloves used to be soaked in alcohol so many people have a custom not to use cloves on Pesach. this might make a regular year hechsher on the cloves not good enough for Pesach

according to the O-U passover guide there are O-U(P) cloves out there
