Upper West Side spot for carnivores and vegetarians?

i have four people on the Upper West Side tomorrow. two of them are vegetarians, two are carnivorous. they'd like to eat at the same place, and they have some enthusiasm for "organic" food, Any ideas?

  1. In general, I'm not a huge fan of Telepan, though many other Chowhounds like the place -- but I will say that it has some very nice options for vegetarians.

    Pasha (Turkish) is also very good for vegetarians if you choose to dine tapas style off the appetizers menu (well worth doing so). For carnivores, the hunkar begendi (lamb over eggplant puree) is excellent.

    Kefi (Greek) is also a good bet (again, I think it's ideal to eat tapas style), though they don't take reservations. Shouldn't be too long a wait on a Monday night.

    1. I don't think you get any more organic or veggie-ish than Josie's (74th and Amsterdam)

      1. 'Cesca has both carniverous and vegetarian apps and entrees. It is not really organic, though.
