I see from my inbox that on May 16 and 17, One Girl Cookies, on Dean St. in Boerum Hill, will be serving a medjool date and vanilla ice cream shake. Cardamom-spiced French doughnuts, too.

It looks like Cheese boy found it for you- he also just reminded me of the amazingly delicious date/lime/banana smoothie at Taim in the west village. They also serve the freshest, tastiest (hence, the name) falafel in town. The smoothie isn't exactly what you're looking for, but think of it as our east coast version :)

That one is easier- plenty of Vietnamese and Hispanic eateries around town offer some version of this. I've never had one, but it sounds good. And very rich! Are you on a liquid diet, by any chance? ;)

There's a thai restaurant in Queens called Penang--its in a small strip store center with an Asian supermarket. In that strip mall, right next door to Penang, there's a Vietnamese Restaurant--sorry dont recall the name--that serves a very popular avocado shake to stay or to go.

I wish! The only place I have ever seen them is the LA-area. But that doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist here... I hope someone comes up with more info for you.
