We'll be spending a week in Orlando in a couple weeks w/ our 5-yo and will spend one day at the beach. Looking for a kid-friendly place for lunch, nothing fancy obviously, and something on the beach would be ideal. TIA.

ETA - are any of the places on the pier any good? i was just looking at their menus online and they all sound decent - esp. Marlins and Oh Shucks.

    Never eaten at the pier, so I can't give you any info on them.

    The only restaurant that I know is actually on the beach is Coconuts. The food's OK and it's casual, so kids won't feel out of place (http://www.coconutsonthebeach.com/ind...

    )

    While not on the beach, Fish Lips is over the water at Port Canaveral & the food is much better. (http://www.fishlipswaterfront.com/).

    While not on the beach, there are plenty of good places to eat all along the west side of A1A.

    Hope you enjoy your visit!

      I just wanted to thank you for the Coconuts recommendation. We ended up having lunch there and, while the food wasn't the greatest, it was good and the location couldn't be beat.

      We went to the pier after lunch and I am glad we didn't count on eating there. The restaurants on the pier had a real dive quality to them.
