Open faced hot turkey sandwiches in the city?!

I grew up in the suburbs of chicago, and there was a little family style all night restaurant, Olympic Star, that had amazing hot turkey sandwiches and mashed potatoes...

Sadly, now I'm on the far north side, without a car, and I'm in desperate need of a hot turkey fix.

Any suggestions? Thanks :D

  1. What's Cooking? Restaurant in the Lincoln Village Mall, at Lincoln Ave. and McCormick Blvd. has open face Turkey sandwiches - mashed potato w/gravy also. Depending on where you're coming from, you can take the Devon Bus to the end of the line, at Kedzie, and walk the 2-blocks to the place, or take the Kimball Ave. bus to McCormick & Lincoln, or the #11 Lincoln Ave. bus almost to the front door. Oh, the Peterson Ave. bus stops two blocks away, and is another public transit option.
