suggestions for a last minute birthday dinner sat nite? (near Ktown)

hello fellow chowhounders!

i am desperately seeking suggestions for a last minute birthday dinner sat - tomorrow night. we tried Cha Cha Cha (Silverlake) & Magnolia (Hollywood) but were unsuccessful in getting a reservation. any suggestions for a fairly easy restaurant to get a table for a group of 10, with a bar/lounge? location: near the Ktown area (so Hollywood/Los Feliz/Silverlake/Mid Wilshire are all good). food: mid-tier decent quality / reasonable prices / american / asian fusion / comfort / gastropub are all good choices.

normally we like to go to: Osteria La Buca / Fathers Office / Mozza / Providence
places that we don't like: Geisha House / Ketchup / Katana

I second Luna Park. You could also try the new Palihouse at Holloway, great space, okay food but it's really more about the hanging out and the drinks and all which is what a birthday party is anyway. They're on Open Table. Or you could go old school, Taylor's Steaek house on 8th. Yummy steaks, esp. the cullotte, "vintage" waitstaff and big red leather booths. You see a lot of celebratory events there and they have a warren of various rooms so maybe there's even a private one for you. Also, O-Bar in WeHo. Mostly gay but great room, friendly service, EXCELLENT burgers.

Luna Park on La Brea is one option. Although it can be very loud. I've seen large groups there.

Consider M Grill on Wilshire. It's Brazilian, so lots of meat. Unfortunately, not a full bar, but has nice atmosphere.

how about opus? haven't been since josef departed but would love to know how the food is nowadays.
