Anniversary Dinner Lake Tahoe

  • 4

My husband and I are taking a trip to Lake Tahoe in 2 weeks to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We are staying in South Lake Tahoe. I need to find a restaurant for our anniversary celebration dinner, and I'm at a loss. My husband is a 'meat and potatoes' kind of guy, so anything too exotic is out of the question. We normally eat at steakhouses for anniversary celebrations, so I'm looking for something similar to Morton's or Ruth's Chris.

I see that Evans is highly recommended but I'm concerned that might even be too weird for hubby, and from the pictures of inside the restaurant I have a slight concern we might be a little too 'young' for this place (we're in our early 30's). Please correct me if I'm wrong! :)

I see that the Montbleu resort has a steak house, but I couldn't find any reviews here for it. We are willing to drive outside of South Lake Tahoe for really good chow with a somewhat romantic ambiance. We don't have to go to a steak house, but it needs to be a place where hubby can get a good steak.

Thanks!

i just remembered, my mom and dad swear by the sage room at harveys, kind of an old fashioned steak house and my husband and i went to 19 at the top of harveys and he had a very good steak there also

    2. MY favorite place in the South Shore area is Mirabelle French Restaurant. You can have really well prepared food and get a steak too! Here is the menu. http://www.mirabelletahoe.com/menus_d...
We always go there for special dinners, have been since they opened 7 years ago.

      1. Friday's Station at the top of Harrahs is excellent. Your husband sounds a lot like mine and we have been there several times. Great steaks and wine list and beautiful views.
