Good places for brunch in Forest Hills/Rego Park?

I've seen signs for brunch at La Terraza and Portofino on Queens Blvd., but I've heard these places are terrible. I've also been to Georgia Diner several times, but I'm looking for something that's more interesting and tastier than basic diner food. Any other options? I'd like to find a place like Jane or Good in Manhattan (if that's possible in Queens).

Oh I wish there was someplace like Jane or Good in Queens. Avoid those places on Qns Blvd that you mention. Bonfire Grill is new on Austin St and while it has a brunch menu, the reviews have been mixed to negative. On Queens Blvd there is Just Like Mother's which is good but feels like diner food in the end. I don't know what it is about brunch that it never got much of a foothold in this area of Queens.

Not a typical brunch, but when I lived in FH, I spent many Saturday afternoon/brunch time consuming a Leo's hero in the backyard of the companion bakery, with a cup of coffee and canoli from said bakery.

Sounds good to me. Leo's is fabulous.
