DC - Folks - The Tune Inn

Hey all you Capitol Hill staffers, does anyone know if The Tune Inn (was run by Bill & Ginny from W. Virginia) still exist? If I remember correctly, it was right down the street from the Hawk & Dove.

Wow, thanks for the flashback of my days on the Hill.

Ya Tune Inn, and Ya Stumble Out. That's what we used to say.... :)

Still there. Still a major dive. Still great!

Still there. Burgers still greasy, although the place is a little cleaner and brighter than I'd like it. They need to bring back the dank.

Oh man, they cleaned it up? How could they? I assume Bill & Ginny are no longer there. The only place to get a burger, fries and a draft Nattyboh for $2.50

Back in the days... Ginny hollaring from the back "Draw one Bill" Good times...

It's still going strong. they didn't clean up that much and it's still almost impossible to read the paper given the lighting, I think the lack of a cloud of cigarette smoke caused the reduction of dank...

love that scrapple (but only once or twice a year).

what does/did Ginny look like? there is one waitress who has been there for years.

She was a rather large older woman with a very thick West Virginia accent. If you ordered the Nattyboh on draft she yelled up to the front "draw one Bill" You couldn't miss either of them! They were great!
